7:00pm – Songwriters in a Line-up
Paul Pendery, Ron Hipp, Cyndi Craven
First up, we’ll have three singer-songwriters you probably already know and love. If not, come get to know (and love) them with the rest of us!
Paul is a singer/songwriter who came by his musical genes honestly.
His first memories were of Dad’s drums set up in the house and Grama playing the piano, which influenced the percussive nature of his guitar playing. The songwriters muse found a home in his soul in Montana and Alaska and has thrived in the Atlanta creative community. He’s collaborated with his musical pals in Mockingbird’s Wing for 10 years, and is thrilled to be sharing the stage at Lena’s with a couple of his favorite artists, Ron Hipp and Cyndi Craven.
Ron is an acoustic finger-style guitarist/singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. A native of Atlanta, he’s been playing music, both as a solo artist and in various band combinations, since high school. He has graced many recording projects over the years by other artist, as a back-up musician, and finally released his first album of original songs and instrumentals titled “Two Hearts” which received international folk radio airplay and glowing reviews from press and concert presenters.
Cyndi Craven has been a frequent flier on Atlanta’s singer-songwriter stage for eons. She’s also 1/3 of the trio, Just Be’Cause (with Jerry Brunner and Bruce Gilbert).
On Saturday, she’ll bring to the Lena’s stage some original songs, some small stringed instruments, some offhanded silliness, and some unique perspectives on some everyday things. She’s really looking forward to playing with her friends, Paul and Ron, and playing for you.
