8:00 :: Songwriters in the Round (Fred Watts, Jeff Silver, Pat Walsh)

Fred Watts is a singer-songwriter living in Roswell who has been writing and performing since 1971 with several groups, including Up With People, Daniel & Watts, and Pickin’ On The Beatles. He recently released his latest eighteen-song CD, Common Thread, produced by Kahler Studios and BrooksTone Studios.

For two years, Fred was the rhythm guitar player and orchestra leader for the musical production group Up With People, where he toured the world and performed for thousands, including the Superbowl X halftime show.

Fred is a past coordinator for Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) for the Atlanta Metro Area workshop.

Jeff Silver returned to his roots as a singer-songwriter after detours composing for musical theater, writing music for advertising and modern dance. His song Forget About Love, cowritten with Chip Martin and Gary Harrison, appeared on Mark Wills’ gold-selling album PermanentlyI Ain’t Crazy (But My Daddy Is), cowritten with Derek Toomey, was recorded by sister-act Southern Halo on their debut CD. Jeff and Derek’s songs Every Sinner Every Angel and Path of Least Resistance were recorded by Gemma Adams and have charted on the Power Source Christian Country Top 100 over the past year-and-a-half. Jeff has led songwriting workshops for elementary school children, cancer survivors at Piedmont Hospital’s Cancer Wellness Center, and has been one of the coordinators of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) Metro Atlanta chapter for many years.

Singer-Songwriter, Pat Walsh continues to release luscious, sophisticated, and genuinely affecting melodic pop songs. His latest, a lovely mid-tempo ballad about hope wiping away the darkness in a person’s life, is sung sweetly and built around ingenious chord changes.
