7:00 :: Crawlspace The name Crawlspace comes from extended time spent beneath houses. Phyl Hilton is a retired HVAC contractor and Charles Absher and John Miller are retired civil engineers. Charles toured internationally with a bluegrass band in his younger days and is now a prolific songwriter of renown. Crawlspace performs Crosby/Stills/Nash, Dylan, Eagles, Gary Davis, and other traditional and folk music, plus quite a few originals. Charles writes beautiful and insightful material and Phyl and John are progressing under his tutelage. The trio has attended John McCutcheon’s songwriting camp in Highlands these last two years and Charles is a regular at the Yosemite Songwriting Retreat and other songwriting camps. All three are alumni of the Frank Hamilton School. Crawlspace plays the Tucker, Norcross, and Peachtree Road Farmer’s Markets, local parks, the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and Waller’s, and recently played AvonWoodstock and the UUCA coffee house. 8:00 :: Blackfoot Daisy
Blackfoot Daisy is a humble trio that plays original, Americana style music. Based in the Atlanta metro area, we are a little haunted by the prairie, the wind, the shifting of tall grasses, the sound of crickets and lonesome train whistle calling in the night.
