8:00 :: Ron Hipp

Ron Hipp is an acoustic finger-style guitarist/singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. A native of Atlanta, Ron has been performing around town, both as a solo artist and in various band combinations, for many years. His rich baritone voice, consummate finger-picking and original songs make his shows a memorable experience. Ron performs in the duo ~Out of The Rain~ with Carol Statella, an accomplished singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist in her own right, so this will be a rare chance to get to see and hear Ron solo.
9:00 :: In The Wheelhouse

In the Wheelhouse began in 2010 when Tomas Valenti needed an impromptu stringband for a square dance and asked fiddler Tara Vogt and banjo player Walter Harris to help out. They discovered a shared love of music that went beyond traditional fiddle tunes and they’ve been playing together ever since. Today their repertoire includes an eclectic blend of traditional and popular tunes from a broad range of styles; old country gospel and blues to the Beatles with a dash of bluegrass. Guitarist-singer Sarah Wishon joined the group later, adding a velvety quality to their three-part harmonies. Sometimes appearing as a trio, other times as a quartet, In the Wheelhouse entertains audiences with their tight harmonies, unique arrangements, stale banjo jokes, and upbeat fiddle tunes, swapping out lead vocals as well as instruments along the way.
